How do I import MP4 to Windows Movie Maker effectivley? It seems that Mp4 video won't work on windows movie maker. I installed a codec pack from cnet already, and the video plays fine on Windows Media Player. But when I try to import it to movie maker, it shows the preview, but when Idrag it onto the timeline/play it, theres no audio or video. What can I do to get it to work? I want a nice and simple explanation please I'm not a computer wizz. Thanks.
Windows Movie Maker supports only certain type of file types. You need to make sure your clip is of any of the below listed file types. File formats supported by Windows (Live) Movie Maker:
• Windows Media video files: .wmv
• Windows Media audio files: .wma
• DV/AVI format for video: .avi
Obviously, MP4 format is not one compatible file format to Windows Movie Maker. Though there are suggestions of downloading and installing the MP4 codec might solve the problem, it's not always the case. Is there any simple solution to add MP4 videos into Windows (Live) Movie Maker for editing?
