Alternatively, insert one end of an RCA cable into your television's color-coded "Video Out" port. Insert the other end of the cable into your TV tuner's "Video In" or "Line In" port. Use an HDMI cable as your first choice if possible, because it provides the best quality audio and video.</p> <p> </p> <p><em><strong>2.</strong></em> Cue your DVR video content for playback. Use the DVR's controls to access the program you wish to record. Push "Record" on the TV tuner's control panel.</p> <p> </p> <p><em><strong>3.</strong></em> Push "Play" on the DVR's controls immediately. Doing so minimizes the amount of empty space at the beginning of your TV tuner's digital recording.
