How to import MP4 into Adobe Premier Pro CS3/CS4/CS5?

How to import MP4 into Adobe Premiere CS3? Recently I purchased FlipCam Ultra HD camera and I’ve take some video clips and I want to take them to my editing program. I use Adobe Premiere CS3, but it doesn’t support the file type that the camera exports in. How could I possibly convert MP4 to Adobe Premiere Pro compatible file format?

Yup, MP4 is kind of supported by Adobe Premiere Pro. Look closely, you may find that it only supports MP4 which is XDCAM EX format. Generally speaking, XDCAM EX format is used by Sony and JVC cameras. For other MP4 videos (iPhone, iPod, iPad, Flip, etc.), Adobe Premiere Pro might not be able to read them.
