Basically, there are two kinds of CDs you can burn form MP3s, audio CD and data CD. Each has its advantages and disadvantages. The difference between them is that the former one can be played any audio CD player and many stereo systems, however, it can only fit less than 20 songs (up to 80 minutes) per CD disc. Well, Windows Media Player is able to burn these two kinds of CD disc. If you wish to burn a CD which contains more songs, you may choose data CD. By doing this, you can also add pictures and files to your data disc. To make a MP3 CD which can be played on any CD player, you may select audio CD. So here’s the guide:
1. Open Windows Media Player, click on “Burn” tab and from the drop-down list, you may select “Audio CD” or “Data CD or DVD” as per your need. You may also select "Eject Disc After Burning."
2. Insert a blank CD disc into your CD or DVD burner. If the AutoPlay dialog box appears, just close it. If your computer has two CD or DVD burners, click the Next Drive link to switch to the burner you want to use.
3. Select “Music” under the Library option on the left panel of Windows Media player interface. To create a burn list, drag items from the Details pane (the pane in the middle of the library) to the List pane (the pane on the right side of the library).
4. When you have selected all MP3s you want to burn a CD, select “Start Burn” right below Burn tab. Then you may just wait for the burning to be finished.
5. As the disc is burned, progress is displayed for each item. Burning a disc might take several minutes to complete. If you have more items in your burn list than will fit on one disc, you'll have the option to burn the remaining items to a second disc. Once finished, you can eject the CD to play on your car or DVD player. Have fun.
Tips:
1. In terms of the Burn List, you can either change the order of your songs or remove items from the list. You may drag the item up or down in the list or right-click the item and then click Remove from List respectively.
2. As to disc, CD-RW discs do not work in all CD players, so it is recommended to use CD-R. Now you can burn MP3 to CD disc today for free.
3. To burn any videos and pictures to DVD for playback on home DVD player, you may use DVD Creator.
