Question:
Why is there no sound on my burned DVDs from AVI files using Windows DVD Maker? I have been using Windows DVD Maker, and have made several DVDs. All of my files are AVI files. They all burned just fine, but when I went to play them in the DVD player, there was no sound. There was sound on the preview of the DVD maker, just not on the DVD. Can anyone tell me how to fix this? What are some basic problems that would cause an AVI file to come out with no sound?
P.S: Is there any 3rd software out there that is better than Windows DVD Maker to burn AVI to DVD properly?
Answer:
There are many posts about AVI audio problems throughout the Windows 7 DVD Maker community. Basically, the problem is when you burnt a DVD from AVI files but there is no sound when you play the DVD on standalone DVD players. Here are some solutions that may help your solve the problem.
• Are you able to hear the sound when you create a preview with the DVD Maker?
• Have you installed the latest drivers for your Audio device after installing Windows 7 on your computer?
You will have to install the latest drivers for your Audio device. Visit the computer or the device manufacturers’ website and install the latest driver for your Audio Device.
